Some of the players that I believe will shine in this years’ tournament are Kylian Mbappe, Joshua Kimmich, Marco Asensio and Delli Alli to name a few.
Mbappe – This kid made his name last season when he shot to fame with Monaco in the Champions League. At only 17 years old he was scoring goals for fun and got a big load move to PSG in the summer. This season he has linked up well in attack with Cavani and Neymar and has managed to bag himself 13 goals in 25 appearances. He has so far made 12 caps for his country and has scored 3 goals so far. With such a great attacking threat France will most certainly score many goals this tournament and I am sure Mbappe will be involved in those goals. My world cup tip would be to bet on Mbappe bagging a couple goals for his nation this world cup.
Kimmich – This young right back has become an integral part of his club’s defence in the last season. He has become a permanent fixture at right back. He has pace and skill and can deliver a dangerous ball into the box as well. He has taken Phillip Lahm’s spot and will most certainly be a tough opponent for all left wingers in this years’ tournament. Germany will definitely get far in this years’ tournament and I would not be surprised in Kimmich becomes a world cup winner even at the tender age of 22 years old.
Asensio – Gareth Bale may have moved to Real Madrid for a world record fee of 86 million pounds in 2013. He has been a permanent fixture in the Real Madrid attack until last season when Marco Asensio broke his way into the team. He is pacey, he is direct and he has a knack for scoring goals. He could make life difficult for his opposition full backs in the FIFA World Cup this year and be a real threat for Spain.
Alli – This boy has been phenomenal for Spurs in the last couple of seasons and he has proven to be a valuable player for Tottenham Hotspurs. He and Harry Kane seem to link very well together and the two of them could be a real threat in this coming this years’ Cup. Alli is a goal scoring midfielder and he has a great pass on him as well.
These youngsters could be the breakthrough players for this coming season.
